A blue tarp covers this bedroom-sized pen, which is the dogs’ lone outdoor respite. The dogs swarm Gold in a cacophony of barking and pent-up canine energy. Some of the dogs try to climb a concrete wall back into the warehouse, only to fall short of the goal and return to jumping on an old mattress with a hole chewed in it.
Imagine what a story this would have been if it were an unfit and unlicensed daycare. I told people, I jumped all over her and received the canned response that I got a cut rate because I took two, Go ahead and sue me. I am sad because I feel like I could have, should have, done more. But instead I go home at night from work and I am blessed with all the unconditional love and excitement my children can give me. And they can, only because they are not a statistic from that fire. Our experience adopting through Furever Home Dog Rescue was wonderful.
Sharon Gold Refused to Get Kennel License
Although we do specialize in dogs in the working and herding groups we are NOT a breed specific rescue. We save these pups because we believe they deserve to live the rest of their lives with love and dignity. With your generous assistance, we can provide care, nurturing, and rehabilitation to these and other animals that otherwise would not make it out of area shelters. I’ve fostered for rescues and at the first sign of something wrong i was told to bring the animal to the vet asap. Even on a transport, if the dog shows signs of illness they can be transported to the nearest vet or emergency vet. Since she couldn’t take the puppies to a vet, she didn’t know why they were sick until her neighbors told her the puppy from her foster litter she gave them was sick.
We have and will continue to recommend Furever Home Dog Rescue. Our experience with Furever Home Dog Rescue has been wonderful. The application process went smoothly and all of our questions were answered prior to meeting the puppy we had selected to meet. The process of meeting at Camille’s house with the foster family was convenient and a good environment to help us to decide on whether adopting Milob was a good choice for us.
Forever Home Dog Rescue
There are plenty of animals looking for homes and we hope to help you find the perfect pet. Home Fur-Ever has started a campaign on My Giving Circle, a site that awards grants to non-profits. Grants will be used to help pay medical bills for the dogs we foster. I know that what has been written here about Sharon Gold to be true. I had an interaction with her 5-6 years ago when she was using the name and identy of someone else ( Andi Henrich – I may be wrong on the spelling of the last name).
A person shouldn’t foster, adopt or rescue an animal unless they have the knowledge and means to care for it. I was involved with two different breed rescues here in Kentucky until I developed some health issues, Shelties and Min Pins. I had to submit paperwork to the rescues and have a home inspection before I was given assignments I regards to picking up a dog for rescue, fostering a dog and doing home inspections. If I was fostering a dog and it got sick, I didn’t have to ask permission to take it to a vet.
Foster Families Needed

Parasites and viruses can thrive where several dogs live in the same space. Ms. Gold said she would call her veterinarian to get medication but Kimerly never got it.
We assumed she was reputable if a national chain was hosting her. I’ve seen Sharon doing laundry at the laundromat before and the stench of the urine and poop soaked bedding is so vile you can’t be in the building while she is there. Then the machines stink and are full of fur for days after she uses them.
Specialized Mountain Rescue
Thank you to Camille and the foster families. I’ve been volunteering with Furever Home Dog Rescue for over 5 years. In the course of that time, Camille Oakie has demonstrated a true compassion for animals. Her dedication to rescuing puppies and dogs while finding the best homes available is beyond honorable. We had such a wonderful experience with FHDR.
FHDR answers EVERY question you could EVER have about what they do, how they do it and why they do it. They give detailed pet instructions that EVERY pet owner needs to read, even if you think you know it all, read it anyway. It is insightful, well thought out and full of useful information.I would recommend FHDR to anyone looking to adopt. I could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish.
Molly gets along well with our grandchildren which is very important to us. Furever Home Dog Rescue is a pleasure to work with as we recently adopted our newest family member Olini/Harley. We are former fosters with Furever Home Dog Rescue and this is our second adoption. Camille is informative and thorough throughout the adoption processes, always putting the best interest of animal welfare first.

The animal welfare authorities that somehow, in this case, allowed this to go on despite various complaints?. The media for reporting about her, and letting the story go. Or is it the fire department that is not investigating this as arson..
Such an incredible organization and amazing people. Thank you Camille Oakie for allowing us to be part of something so rewarding and refreshing. FHDR seemed to be strict in who is able to adopt, but in a good way.
There are laws in WA covering the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, applying to any person, whether or not they run so-called shelters. Animal Control in Thurston county need to investigate and charge her. If that was true she wouldn’t have a house full of dogs. Breeders are usually exempt from laws limiting the number of dogs people can have. The current regulations in Thurston County specifically exempts them. Since the foster lost her own puppy and now has to spend tons of money to have her house cleaned I’d say she was a victim too.
